Promoting sustainable development of cities and municipalities for the well-being and prosperity of residents

The Association was established in June 2024 at the international forum in Kazan, uniting over 18,000 cities and municipalities from various countries, including BRICS states and their partners. The Association aims to facilitate the exchange of best practices in municipal governance, improve the quality of life, and stimulate the economic and social development of cities.

Goals of the Association

The Association aims to raise awareness of local self-government in BRICS+ countries, facilitate the exchange of practices, knowledge, and tools across various sectors, and study and disseminate best practices in municipal governance

Consolidation and coordination of the Association's members to enhance municipal governance processes and protect rights and interests at both the international and national levels.

Expanding the external relations of the Association's members and representing their interests on the international stage.

Facilitating the establishment of sister city and partnership relations as a means of mutual learning and friendship between peoples.

Facilitating decentralized cooperation and international collaboration among the members of the Association.

Promoting economic, social, cultural, professional and environmental development.

This is why our Association seeks to unite the efforts of cities and municipalities from BRICS+ countries to work together towards common goals and objectives, and to create a platform for cities and municipalities to share experiences, knowledge, and best practices.

We are ready to share our achievements and learn from others to create a better future for our citizens. Our goal is to strengthen international cooperation and foster the development of our cities and municipalities for the benefit of their residents.

I am confident that our collaboration will be fruitful and mutually beneficial. We are open to new members who share our values and are ready to contribute to the growth of our cities and countries. Together, we can achieve more and create a more harmonious and sustainable future for all.
