It is during Brazil’s chairmanship year that a number of crucial decisions were made, strengthening our ties, and a number of memebers has joined the Association. A great personal achievement for you and a shared triumph was the holding of the General Assembly, which was included in the official calendar of Brazil’s BRICS chairmanship – this event has forever been written into the history of our movement.
As the Mayor of Maricá, you set an inspiring example of modern, open, and effective governance, turning your city into a place of opportunity and quality of life for every resident. And as the President of the Brazilian Association of Municipalities, you consistently advocate for the interests of local government at the highest level, strengthening Brazil’s reputation as a reliable partner in inter-municipal dialogue. Your experience serves as a foundation for many joint projects and an example for all municipalities of the BRICS countries and their partners.
