Mayor of Tehran, Dr. Alireza Zakani, sent a video message to participants of the events of the BRICS+ Association of Cities and Municipalities, which were held in India from March 15 to 17 with the support of the All India Institute of Local Self-Government.
In his speech, Dr. Alireza Zakani stressed the importance of strengthening multilateral cooperation between the cities of the BRICS countries, such platforms play a key role in the exchange of experience and the implementation of joint initiatives.
Special attention was paid to the current situation in the Middle East. The Mayor of Tehran expressed deep concern about the escalation of tension in the region.
