Next Working Meeting of the BRICS+ Association of Cities and Municipalities will take place in Tehran – the cultural, historical and economic center of Iran, from April 9 to 12
Tehran, as one of the largest and most dynamic cities in the region, is an ideal platform for exchanging experiences and best practices in the field of urban management, sustainable development and innovative solutions. The city is known for its rich cultural heritage and modern initiatives, making it a symbol of the interaction of tradition and modernity.
Leaders of regional associations of local authorities and mayors of municipalities will gather in one of the largest cities of the Middle East to discuss key issues of the Association’s activities and approve the agenda for the upcoming General Assembly in May.
The meeting will consider key issues related to improving urban infrastructure, participants will discuss strategies for cooperation between municipalities, exchange successful practices and try to develop joint solutions to overcome current challenges.
This event will be an important step towards strengthening ties between BRICS countries and their partners and creating a platform for dialogue at the municipal level.
To recall, the first meeting took place in October last year at the Association’s headquarters in Dubai. There, the members of the Association and honorary guests discussed the charter, committees and other organizational issues regarding the functioning of the Association.
